More About Me and My Path To Becoming A Therapist
I'm a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist with a deep commitment to supporting women through the many seasons of life. I bring a broad and nuanced perspective to the therapeutic space, and a deep appreciation for the nervous system and the role it plays in healing.
I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside hundreds of women—listening to stories of heartbreak, resilience, guilt, rage, shame, tenderness, and fierce love.
For almost twenty years, I’ve worked in community services, with over a decade in youth and family settings. I’ve sat at kitchen tables with mothers who were unraveling - exhausted, overwhelmed, and unsure how to keep going. These moments have deeply shaped how I work: with compassion, presence, and a profound respect for the courage it takes to reach out.
I support women across the lifespan who are navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, identity and body image concerns, parenting, chronic illness, hormonal shifts, and the complex emotional terrain of motherhood.
The Heart of My Work
My approach is gentle and real. I avoid jargon and fancy terminology. I bring my true self into the room, fostering genuine conversations that heal.
Being a Psychotherapist allows me to weave together my respect for Eastern philosophy with the grounded, evidence-based practices of Western psychology. There’s a kind of alchemy that takes place in therapy—something sacred happens when two people sit together with open hearts and honest words.
Who I work with
I work with older teenagers (16+) and adults experiencing a wide variety of challenges.
I have particular interest in:
Supporting women and those who identify as female through all stages of life.
Exploring how we relate to our bodies, including chronic shame, body dysmorphia and gender dysphoria.
Early relationships and how attachment patterns show up in adulthood.
Mothers who feel overwhelmed by the myth of “the perfect mother” or are navigating challenges with their children.
Grief, including bereavement, separation, illness, pregnancy loss or job loss.
Parents experiencing violence and control from their child, known as child-to-parent violence.
